Margot Robbie masters summer style, rocking a chic double denim ensemble that exudes effortless cool.

She tied the look together with these not-quite ballet flats

While Margot Robbie’s Barbie press tour wardrobe was pretty much universally acclaimed, I have to admit I’m enjoying her laid-back street-style era a lot more.

The Oscar-nominated actor recently made back-to-back appearances in New York City wearing some easygoing separates.

For a casual denim-on-denim look, Robbie relied on the Row, wearing an oversize button-up shirt and a pair of mid-rise slouchy jeans from the label, both of which featured a dark indigo wash. For a base layer, she added a plain white knit tank top from Bottega Veneta.

She also added black accents throughout, from a leather Celine shoulder bag to bow-adorned leather mule flats from Manolo Blahnik. (The latter, in particular, are a good alternative for anyone experiencing ballet flat fatigue.)Later in the day, Robbie ditched her double-denim moment for another set. This time, she wore a slouchy khaki suit, composed of an oversize blazer and pintucked pants. She kept her accessories to a minimum, adding a plain black baseball cap and a woven leather half-moon-shaped Bottega Veneta bag. For footwear, she stayed comfortable in chunky white sneakers.

A simple jacket and wide-leg pants seem to be Robbie’s go-to street style formula. Just last week, she went on another New York City outing with husband Tom Ackerley. Her outfit at the time consisted of a cream blazer from Another Tomorrow, a white scoop-neck T-shirt, faded high-rise jeans with raw hems, brown loafers, and an olive-green Yankees cap.
