The referee takes over to start the action. Drew McIntyre wins an exchange of blows, showing all his strength, which he shows off even more when he plants himself on the canvas to neutralize a tackle from Seth Rollins , despite the latter having gained momentum on the ropes. Rollins reacts by attacking the Scot with a “Sling Blade”, and then throws him over the third rope to attack with a “Suicide Dive”. Seth repeats the dose, but Drew intercepts him to send him against the commentary table with a “Belly-to-Belly”. The fight is back on equal terms. Seth is the one who feels the punishment the most, and therefore, the one who takes the longest to recover.
Seth Rollins avoids an “Alaba Slam” by spinning his rival around for the three count, but the referee’s count does not progress. The two contenders remain lying on the canvas. Once on his feet, Rollins unleashes his frustration by attacking his rival with several “Chops”; then, Seth escapes a “Vertical Suplex” to send Drew into the post up to three times. This allows Rollins to focus on attacking the Scotsman’s left arm and then punishes him with a pair of knee strikes; he counts to two and the fight continues on WWE RAW ( January 20, 2025 ). Rollins follows the attack with a “Springboard Swanton Bomb”, but it is still not enough to knock his opponent down.
Drew McIntyre manages to react and climbs into the corner… Seth Rollins intercepts Drew McIntyre from above to take him down with a “Superplex”; “The Visionary” tries to follow the sequence with a “Falcon Arrow”, but it is “The Scottish Warrior” who ends up executing the move! Brutal display of power. McIntyre is on the warpath, hoping to end the fight… Rollins avoids a “Claymore Kick”… McIntyre avoids a “Stomp” and counterattacks with a “Spinebuster”; he counts to two. Seth does not allow himself to fall once again, he distances himself with a “Super Kick” and ends up executing a “Falcon Arrow” on Drew; the cover, with only one arm due to fatigue, does not progress. What a fight between two of the best in the industry.
McIntyre reacts almost instinctively to avoid a new attack from his rival and knocks him down with a “Clothesline”. The Scot struggles to get to his feet while on the apron… Drew launches himself from the corner, but is intercepted. Seth hits Drew’s left arm until he submits him to the canvas to close a “Crossface” ; McIntyre survives after he manages to reach the bottom rope. “Are you going to keep questioning my integrity?” Seth yells at his opponent to unleash his frustration, while the referee ends up being unbalanced, Drew takes advantage to attack with a “Future Shock DDT”; he counts to two. McIntyre responds to Rollins who continues to open his mouth and his actions do not match what he says. Drew knocks Seth down on a couple of occasions, but he becomes overconfident, and therefore, he does not follow through with the attack. SETH ROLLINS SURPRISES DREW MCINTYRE WITH A JACKKNIFE PIN FOR THE WIN!
After the match, Drew McIntyre continues to attack his opponent. Seth Rollins tries to defend himself by throwing desperate punches, but the Scot stops him cold with a “Claymore Kick.” McIntyre doesn’t want to leave things like that, and puts Rollins’ head near the post. Drew can’t continue the attack because SAMI ZAYN appears to defend Seth Rollins. McIntyre reacts after the Canadian notices Seth’s state of health; the Scot attacks Sami with a “Glasgow Kiss” and then sends him into the barricade. McIntyre goes after Rollins again, but the former moves out of the way… Sami Zayn attacks Seth Rollins with a “Helluva Kick” by mistake! Drew McIntyre leaves happy for what he has caused, while Sami Zayn tries to apologize to a Seth Rollins who ended up frustrated despite the victory.
