According to insiders, Kevin Feige is now advocating for a full-scale, R-rated theatrical picture based on the graphic comic book series after the What If…? animated episode that debuted the zombie versions of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes received an enormous amount of fan response.

Marvel Studios has slowly been embracing horror elements, from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to Werewolf by Night, and Marvel Zombies could be their most ambitious horror project yet.
