WWE hit the “viral moment” lottery on Saturday night (Feb. 1) at Royal Rumble when Intercontinental champion Bron Breakker broke popular streamer IShowSpeed in half with a spear in the men’s Rumble match. By Monday, reports were that Speed’s appearance had been viewed more than 250 million times on his & WWE’s social platforms. This clip alone has nearly 3 million views on X/TWitter since it was posted the afternoon before Raw.

It’s not “11 billion” like the Hulkster got, but it’s definitely something a lot of folks have seen since last weekend — whether or not they watched Royal Rumble.
Wrestling fans are always leery of outsiders coming into our favorite pastime, but demonstrating your commitment to kayfabe is always a good way to win us over. Speed’s been doing that by selling his 57 seconds in the Rumble, and Breakker’s spear… and Otis backdropping him through the announce table, ever since. He was doing in on his stream from moments after that last spot…

And even though that’s just one of several times Speed said “no more WWE” on Saturday night, he was also vowing to return. We think he may have been a little woozy though, because after vowing to eliminate Roman Reigns in the 2026 Royal Rumble, Speed starts talking about doing the same to retired WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry. The World’s Strongest Man could technically make a legends appearance in next year’s Rumble, but there’s not much room for those in the men’s match these days.
His pal Logan Paul is tired of seeing Speed get destroyed every time he shows up in WWE (he took an announce table RKO from Randy Orton at WrestleMania 40 last year), saying on this week’s Impaulsive:
“The thing about Speed is he is obviously very physically capable. I’m tired of seeing him getting his ass kicked. In the WWE, Randy Orton, nasty RKO through a table. Now, Bron Breakker, spear. Otis threw him over a table. I want to see Speed kick some ass. It’s time for his get back.”
But streaming with Kai Cenat last night (Feb. 4) on Twitch, Speed was back to “no more WWE”…

“Bro, I’m not doing — I’m not going back to WWE, brah… Cause — fuck, why? What you mean, why? I broke my damn neck. And I messed my rib cage up. I couldn’t walk for two days. I couldn’t walk for two damn days, brah.”
Speed’s moment on Saturday night was pretty much the platonic ideal for using a celebrity in the Royal Rumble. They provided story reasons for him to be there (he was there streaming at Triple H’s invite, and Haitch needed someone fast when Carmelo Hayes took out Akira Tozawa), his appearance was brief, and it was used to put over full-time talent.
That last part is key, and a big reason why WWE is said to be high on having Speed back. And the more he sells his viral spot like he has been this week, the more likely he is to endear himself to diehard wrestling fans, as well.
Where are you on Speed’s Rumble moment at this point? Interested in seeing more of him in WWE? And would you be interested in a Logan Paul-type run for him, or should he stick to guest star cameos?
