Oleksandr Usyk ‘to fight Daniel Dubois in iconic London stadium’ with talks underway for undisputed title fight

Oleksandr Usyk could take on Daniel Dubois in an undisputed heavyweight world title fight at Wembley Stadium, according to Sky Sports News.

The Ukrainian, who remains undefeated and has claimed undisputed crowns at both heavyweight and cruiserweight, has reportedly identified Dubois as his next target.

Usyk beat Tyson Fury in May last year to claim all four heavyweight titles before vacating the IBF belt, which is now held by Dubois.

Usyk – who beat Fury for a second time in December 2024 – was eyeing up the winner of Dubois vs Joseph Parker as his next opponent.

DDD pulled out of the fight due to a reported illness, while Parker went on to fight and defeat Martin Bakole in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Usyk is said to be in negotiations to fight Dubois next, with him being the more appealing option given he holds the IBF belt.

The fight is likely to be a part of Riyadh Season – which played a role in staging his two fights with the Gypsy King

According to Sky Sports News, Alex Krassyuk, Usyk’s promoter, is in talks with Dubois’ team about making the fight happen.

One of the proposed locations for the fight is said to Wembley Stadium – with Usyk having previously fought against Derek Chisora at Wembley Arena.

The highly anticipated fight is likely to be a part of Riyadh Season – which played a role in staging Usyk’s two fights with the Gypsy King.

Usyk stopped Dubois in the ninth round in Poland in August 2023 but Team Dynamite disgruntled by the result.

They felt hard done by given a body shot that dropped the Ukrainian was ruled a low blow earlier in the fight.

Dubois was in attendance in Riyadh as Usyk prevailed against Fury for a second time and decided to get in the ring after the result was read out to make his feelings known.

After crashing Usyk’s ring interview, Dubois said: ‘Well done on tonight. I want my revenge for the robbery last time. Let’s get in here. Let’s go.’

Asked by DAZN presenter Ade Oladipo about a potential rematch with Dubois, Usyk said: ‘No problem’ before smirking at the camera.

Usyk recently told Sky Sport that he planned to have two more fights before retiring from professional boxing.

‘I will fight whoever will win [between Parker and Dubois]. Joseph Parker, Daniel Dubois, no problem,’ Usyk told the broadcaster.

‘I think two years, one and a half [left in boxing],’ he said. ‘I feel great myself. I feel I have two fights to prepare [for], not more. Just two.’

Meanwhile, Dubois feels as though he is in the best form of his life – claiming he has improved since his last fight with Usyk.

“I’m just getting better, improving. They say when you win a world title you improve. So I feel like that’s what’s happening with me.

‘I’m ready to show what I can do again and conquer whoever they put in front of me,” Dubois told Sky Sports News.
