‘It’ll be a cool thing’: Barcelona superstar comments on Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid

Speaking during an interview with Tomasz Wlodarczyk, Barcelona superstar Robert Lewandowski has claimed that it would be cool to face Kylian Mbappe in La Liga if his move to Real Madrid goes through in the summer.

It is no secret at this point that Mbappe will be leaving PSG at the end of the season and even though there is nothing official yet, all signs point towards him joining Real Madrid.

Los Blancos have been long-time admirers of Mbappe and have been chasing his signing for years. The player, for his part, has also dreamt of playing for the Spanish capital club and came close to signing in 2022, only to change his mind.

Now, though, everything indicates that Real Madrid and Mbappe will join forces in the summer and Lewandowski would be looking forward to facing the French superstar in La Liga.

On the matter of Mbappe to Madrid, the Barcelona veteran striker said: “I don’t know if he officially moved to Real Madrid, so it’s difficult to comment.

“Perhaps it is better to wait until the news is officially confirmed. Because as far as I know, the announcement has not been made yet. There is no ‘Here we go’ yet, so it’s hard for me to comment!”

“Knowing Kylian and speaking to him in the past, I know that playing against him in La Liga will be a cool thing”, he added.

Mbappe wants presentation before Euros

As mentioned earlier, Real Madrid seem to have everything in place to sign Mbappe as a free agent in the summer.

In fact, it has been suggested that the French superstar could become the club’s new No. 9, with the shirt being left vacant this season following Karim Benzema’s exit.

Mbappe, for his part, wishes for his presentation as a Real Madrid player to take place before he flies off to play for France at the UEFA Euro 2024 in mid-June.
