Jake Paul hits back at Conor McGregor in deleted tweet response to UFC star’s fight admission

Jake Paul has hit back at Conor McGregor after the UFC superstar suggested he would meet him in a boxing fight.

The YouTube star has forever pursued a crossover boxing clash with McGregor, who is currently under contract with the UFC.

Paul has regularly produced fight call-outs and insulting outbursts about the Irishman, who has rarely responded in an official capacity.

The former two-weight UFC champion hasn’t fought since breaking his leg in a trilogy defeat to Dustin Poirier, but has teased a potential return to the boxing ring.

Yesterday, McGregor was questioned about Paul as part of a Q&A session to promote his role in new film ‘Road House’ with Jake Gylenhaal.

And he claimed that he would be open to a future meeting with influencers including Paul, KSI and Tommy Fury.

The ‘Problem Child’ has now issued a response to McGregor’s fight suggestion, writing on Twitter: “Conor you fell off.

“Get some help man and then get back in that cage to try and finish your contract.

“Then say my name. Until then you know you don’t control a damn thing to do with your fights.”

McGregor remains under contract with the UFC but has yet to make a return since his injury, despite being expected to face Michael Chandler.

Paul later deleted the tweet

He is clearly frustrated by his lack of action, but is intending to return on International Fight Week in July against Chandler.

He has drawn up a three-fight plan for 2024, which even included a surprise bout with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

Paul has already announced his next big move, in a bout with heavyweight icon Mike Tyson on July 20.

And ‘The Notorious’ has already delivered his verdict on the fight.

“Oh jeez,” he tweeted in response to the news. “It’s a bit strange, you know. My interest is low.

“I don’t know. I don’t understand it. I wish well for Mike [Tyson].”
