Bellingham has become the first LaLiga player this campaign to reach 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

The 20-year-old was previously involved in a row with a match officials after seeing a late goal ruled out against Valencia back in March.

It resulted in him serving a ban after picking up an avoidable red card.

But while others have been concerned about his mentality in frustrating situation, he’s proved himself a quick learner.

Bellingham got an assist in Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday night to help them maintain their eight-point lead and remain on course for the Spanish title.

A video emerged on social media of him motioning to zip his mouth closed after not being given a foul in the clash.

And Ancelotti feels it shows just how mature Bellingham is at a tender age.

“I don’t know what Bellingham thinks about it, he’s learned very quickly what he has to do and that’s to keep his mouth shut,” he told reporters.

Real Madrid are back in action when they take on Manchester City in their penultimate Champions League quarter-final clash on April 9.

And the legendary Italian boss is hoping the Englishman, and his colleagues will be at their best as they will not play another game before that key fixture.

The Italian added: “Bellingham was not as fresh today as he usually is. He played two very intense games for England and he paid for it a little bit today.

“When I speak about intensity it’s because it was lacking a little bit today, like with Bellingham and [Fede] Valverde. Everyone has to be at their best level to beat City.

“Bellingham has played very well for the national team and that work today will help him in the coming games.”
