Real Madrid quartet face risk of suspension in second-leg against Man City

Real Madrid may have a major advantage heading into their important Champions League encounter against Manchester City.

The Spanish giants are coming on the back of a weeklong rest following a 4-2 win over CA Osasuna. In contrast, Man City had to play Crystal Palace this midweek.

Despite the rest, though, there are multiple Real Madrid players who may not be able to fully express themselves and will have to proceed with caution.

Four Real Madrid stars risk suspension

Indeed, there are four Real Madrid players who will be suspended in the second leg if they receive a yellow card against Manchester City this midweek.

The players in question are Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni.

All of these aforementioned players are currently on two yellow cards and therefore, another booking in the first leg will rule them out of the reverse.

What’s particularly concerning for Real Madrid is that each one of these four players are crucial members of the first-team.

Jude Bellingham has been a sensation since joining Real Madrid last summer and is currently the club’s top goalscorer.

Vinicius Junior, meanwhile, is one of Real Madrid’s most lethal weapons going forward. His pace, dribbling ability and goalscoring prowess could prove to be crucial against Man City in the quarterfinals.

Camavinga and Tchouameni, too, are crucial cogs in the Real Madrid midfield. Their youthful exuberance and ability to break up the player and launch counterattacks is something Real Madrid would require against a side like Man City.

These four players, therefore, must proceed with utmost caution and avoid any booking as Real Madrid take on the mighty English champions.
