The first trailer of Jennifer Lawrence‘s new film Red Sparrow was released on Thursday.

The 27-year-old actress stars in the racy film as a spy named Dominika Egorova, a former ballerina who now seduces enemies for the Russian security service.

The trailer shows Jennifer strutting by a pool in a revealing cut-out bathing suit before sharing a smooch with her co-star Joel Edgerton.

The Academy Award winning star revealed her cleavage in the bold one-piece, revealing her slender frame.

Her character is forced into a training program to become a Russian spy and seductress, with the job of eliminating enemies of the state by using her body as a weapon.

The film’s trailer opens with Jennifer wearing a red dress as she sits nervously on a bed.

The sound of a clock sets the scene until a door opens and a man comes into the room and puts his phone and money on the dresser.

A wide eyed Jennifer turns to look in his direction as he tells her to ‘Take off your dress.’

The scene follows with a man about to be suffocated and a Jennifer strutting down a red carpeted building in a glamorous black dress.

Joel’s character, a CIA officer named Nathaniel Nash, narrates the trailer.

He explains what the sparrow program is: ‘young officers, trained to seduce and manipulate, to use their bodies, to use everything.’

Adding: ‘That’s what she is,’ referring to Jennifer’s character.

As he talks about her, a montage of Jennifer evolving into the seductress that she becomes flashes across the screen.

This includes her as a terrified innocent officer to a platinum blonde Jennifer strutting confidently in all black.

Jennifer’s various disguises as the Russian Intelligence agent were included in the brief trailer.

The spy movie was filmed in Budapest, Hungary as well as in Bratislava, Slovakia; London and Austria earlier this year.

Red Sparrow is directed by Francis Lawrence, who previously directed Jennifer in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.

The film is based o the book by Jason Matthews, a former CIA officer.

Red Sparrow hits theaters in the US and the UK in March 2018; it also stars Jeremy Irons, Mary Louise Parker and Charlotte Rampling.
