The transfer of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid is expected to close following this season’s Champions League final, according to Spanish media.

According to Sky Sports, Real has not yet set an official date for the Mbappe agreement to be announced. The leaders of Los Blancos want to win the Champions League final because they appreciate the players on the team.

Mbappe is able to select shirt number nine.

After the June 2 final, the La Liga powerhouse may reveal the Mbappe agreement, but no later than June 7.

Given that Vinicius Junior owns the number seven shirt at Bernabeu Stadium, Mbappe finds it challenging to wear it at the moment. The number 10 shirt that Mbappe frequently wears for France will probably be Mbappe’s replacement.

Luka Modric is the owner of this shirt at the moment. It seems obvious that Mbappe will take over as Real Madrid’s new number 10 if Modric departs.

But AS affirms Mbappe can wear the number nine shirt if Modric stays. Since Karim Benzema joined Al Ittihad last summer, this shirt has been empty.
