Cardi B’s moment of triumph has taken a turn for the worst. Spotify just gave the New Yorker an award in recognition of the unquestionable popularity of her hit singles. Four of Cardi B’s tracks have gotten over a billion plays on the music streaming service to date. These include her 2020 song “WAP,” in which she collaborates with fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion; her 2018 singles “Girls Like You” and “I Like It” with J Balvin and Bad Bunny; and her 2019 song “Taki Taki” featuring DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, and Ozuna.

Spotify honored Cardi B’s accomplishments by sending a silver plaque to the Grammy Award winner for each song that made it into their exclusive Billions Club. Sharing on social media the news of her most major accolades, the 31-year-old wrote,
