Harry Connick Jr.’s $12.5 million Cape Cod home, complete with a music room

The Wall Street Journal was the first to disclose that singer and actor Harry Connick Jr. and his spouse, Jill Goodacre, are selling their long-time Cape Cod getaway.

The couple paid $5.3 million for the tranquil Chatham, Massachusetts, property in 2006.

The Journal claims that the couple, who reared their family in Connecticut, largely utilized the house as a vacation destination.

They’ve decided to sell the place because they’re not using it as much as they did when their grown children were younger, the Journal noted.

The description describes the 5,300-square-foot home as being on 1.3 acres in “the heart of Chatham Village, yet a world apart,” hidden behind towering hedges. Manicured gardens and park-like surroundings are reached via a meandering driveway.

Constructed in 1963, the stunning estate is situated on Oyster Pond and features a dock, a swimming pool, and a terrace beside the water.

The five-bedroom Colonial was refurbished by the couple, who also included a new family room and kitchen. Connick utilized the study in the main suite, which also included an en suite bathroom and a walk-in closet, as a music room.

In 2017, the couple listed a former dairy barn in New Canaan, CT, for $7.5 million. It served as their primary residence for nearly 20 years and was where they raised their daughters. It was sold in 2018 for $5.4 million.

The jazz musician is one of the country’s bestselling male artists, having sold 30 million records worldwide. He is also an actor, who’s starred in movies such as “Hope Floats” and “P.S. I Love You.” He is currently on tour.
