VENOM 3: THE LAST DANCE – THE FIRST TRAILER

Venom: The Last Dance’s major dread has been validated by Sony Motion Pictures Group chairman Tom Rothman, ending months of conjecture over the movie’s meaning. The fifth entry in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe presently has no known plot, although set photographs seem to suggest that it will pick up just after Eddie Brock’s Spider-Man: No Way Home crossover cameo. In addition to Hardy, the ensemble cast of Venom: The Last Dance includes Clark Backo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Juno Temple in an unidentified lead role. Kelly Marcel, who wrote the scripts for all three films, is directing the film for the first time.

During a recent interview with Deadline for the Cannes Film Festival, Rothman opened up about the studio’s plans for their various franchises heading into the future. Looking at their Marvel content, in particular, Rothman confirmed that Venom: The Last Dance will be the final movie centered on Tom Hardy’s alien vigilante. The Sony exec did, however, assure that the franchise’s swan song “is going to be huge.”
