The house covers 16,200-square feet and was originally built in 1987 but has been extensively updated since.

It includes its own cinema, two kitchens, wine cellar which holds 250 bottles and a panelled dining room.

If that wasn’t enough there is a 150-gallon fish tank in the family room.

It also comes with a wet bar, an indoor spa and an outdoor saltwater swimming pool set in landscaped grounds.

There is also plenty of room for guests as there are eight bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.

Dr Dre bought the property in 1999 for £1.9m, according to land property records.

The acclaimed rapper isn’t short of places to live though as he owns a number of properties in Los Angeles County, including a huge estate in Brentwood which he brought five years ago from NFL star Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen for £32m.

He also owns a Calabasas estate which has its own recording studio and a home in a gated Pacific Palisades community.

Dr Dre, real name Andre Romelle Young, was raised in Compton, California, and initially found fame with NWA and the success of their first album Straight Outta Compton.

He also started producing some of the rap group’s songs was well as for other artists including Eazy-E and the debut album by The DOC.

Dr Dre left the group in 1991 and joined up with Surge Knight’s Death Row Records and released his first single, a collaboration with Snoop Dogg and the title track for the film Deep Cover.

He then released his solo album The Chronic with the groundbreaking album going on to be certified triple platinum in 1993.

Dr Dre has also found widespread acclaim for his producing skills, working on albums including Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle and 2Pac’s single California Love and was behind the controls on six songs for Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP.
