The 38-year-old beauty reunites with Jessica Chastain in the psychological thriller film “Mothers’ Instinct”.

According to Deadline , Anne Hathaway will reunite with Jessica Chastain in the psychological thriller film Mothers’ Instinct . The duo will portray neighbors Alice (Chastain) and Celine (Hathaway). Previously, the two actresses starred together in filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s work Interstellar (2014).

Set in the 1960s, Mothers’ Instinct follows a pair of best friends and neighbors. Alice and Celine are women with elegant lifestyles, successful husbands, and children at the same age.

However, that perfection suddenly shattered after a tragic accident. From now on, the two people’s friendship was tinged with guilt, suspicion and paranoia. The dark side of mothers also gradually emerges.

Mothers’ Instinct is a remake of the Belgian film titled Duelles (2018). The original has a 73% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Olivier Masset-Depasse – the original director – continues to lead the remake project.

For Anne Hathaway, after giving birth to her second child in December 2019 and recuperating for three months, she is actively looking for new projects.

Before that, during her pregnancy, the actress still participated in The Witches. She even performed most of the strong action scenes in the children’s movie without needing a stunt double.

“I was pregnant during the production of The Witches . But I still want to try to do dangerous stunts, as long as the doctor allows it,” Hathaway shared on television on October 29.

Not only did the actress have to work hard to perform the scenes, she also had to sit in the makeup chair for many hours to dress up as a witch. In The Witches , Anne Hathaway plays the Supreme Witch – the head of a global witch organization, specializing in hunting children.
