In his own Captain America movie, “Brave New World,” Anthony Mackie of Marvel stars with the late Harrison Ford. This much awaited film, which is slated for release on February 14, 2025, marks a momentous occasion for Mackie’s character, Sam Wilson.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly at CinemaCon, Mackie playfully addressed Tom Holland’s past joke about his lack of a solo film, promising to make Holland attend the premiere and watch the movie with him. Directed by Julius Onah, acclaimed for “The Cloverfield Paradox,” “Brave New World” offers a grounded, espionage-driven narrative, setting it apart from typical superhero movies. Mackie describes the film as “10 times bigger” than his Disney+ series, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” highlighting its unique storyline and characters.
