Paul Heyman was able to redirect Ava into a brand new role at NXT, apart from wrestling. Despite being the daughter of a WWE legend, Ava may be taking on a different role in the Stamford-based company than that of her fathers. But for now, her mentioning Paul Heyman may be enough of a shocker for most fans because of the upcoming feud between The Rock and The Bloodline.

WWE recently posted a small interview featuring Ava. In the short clip, the female wrestler is talking about how she once had a word with a “wise man” which led to her realizing how she can help out NXT behind the curtains alongside the legendary Shawn Michaels.

Ahead of the NXT Men’s Tag Tournament, Ava was featured in an official short interview where she revealed her current ‘manager’ like position in NXT and how her interaction with Paul Heyman led to this.

“Well, it was brought to my attention a couple of months ago when a wise man told me that as the brand continues to grow, Shawn Michaels, he might need some help,” said Ava in the clip. She further added, “That’s where I come in. I have a unique relationship with the NXT roster. I have some of my own ideas. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.”

There had been a fair bit of build-up to the moment where the two stars were finally seen in a viral clip which showed them talking backstage. Now, Ava has finally addressed what they were discussing in that clip.

This interaction and name-dropping is quite curious considering the tense situation between Dwayne Johnson and his distant cousin, Roman Reigns.

Last Monday Night Raw, “The Rock” surprised all wrestling fans by appearing on the weekly episode. Not only did his appearance catch everyone off guard, but Johnson also shocked the audience when he called out The Bloodline openly. He threatened “The Tribal Chief” by saying that he wished to sit “at the head of the table“.

This announcement sparked a feeling among the fanbase that a feud is inevitable and a match will go down between the two. Following the incident, the tension continued to grow as Reigns also took to Twitter to react to this call out. Through his reaction, we can see that even though he might be bothered by the challenge, Reigns certainly doesn’t ‘acknowledge’ his cousin.
