The Carolina Panthers’ uniforms are among the worst in the whole NFL.

The Carolina Panthers’ uniforms ranked 31st in the NFL, ahead of only the Washington Commanders in a column by Nate Davis of USA Today. Davis noted, “Learned recently that the panther head logo is designed in such a way as to resemble North and South Carolina together on a map. Kinda cool. Not much else about these uniforms is.”

The Panthers’ uniforms have remained largely unchanged since the team’s inception, with only minor tweaks over the years. Davis criticizes the look as a “dated hodgepodge” that recalls the 1990s, a time when black and teal were popular.

Davis suggests it’s time for a change, adding “Seems like it’s time for an update, maybe with something closer to Carolina Blue. But the logo can now stay.” His view reflects a broader sentiment that the Panthers’ uniform could benefit from a fresh look.

While some fans might argue against a complete overhaul, there is room for improvement. Updating the font of the jersey numbers to something unique and revamping the shoulder design could modernize the look without a drastic change. Given the team’s relatively short history and lack of iconic status, a new look could invigorate the Panthers’ brand and perhaps bring a bit of good fortune along with it.
