Disney’s Snow White (2025) Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot

Disney’s live-action Being a reimagining of a beloved animated film, Snow White has a high standard to meet, which includes outperforming the original at the box office. When Snow White, a much awaited live-action film, finally arrives in 2024, the pattern of adapting great animation films into new stories continues. Gal Gadot plays the Queen and Rachel Zegler plays Snow White, two renowned characters from Disney’s very first animated film. The animation and narrative of the original 1937 film are praised for their ability to withstand the passage of time and contribute to the success of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Part of the reason why Disney has become so focused on these live-action remakes is the massive success that can be found at the box office. Several of them have made over $1 billion worldwide, and that is certainly the type of performance Disney is hoping from the live-action Snow White. This would easily surpass the original animated movie at the box office, but simply beating Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs might not be enough. If Disney’s retelling of Snow White is to be as successful as the first, it will need to outperform the animated release by a wide margin.
