Prince Harry was given a “brutal one-word name” by royals after he parted ways from the Firm. In January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their decision to step back from their senior royal roles.

The revelation was made in Omid Scobie’s book Endgame which was released on November 21 last year.

The book also gave an insight into the feud between the Duke of Sus𝑠e𝑥, his father King Charles and his brother Prince William.

While talking about Prince William’s response to his brother, Scobie wrote: “The once close relationship between Harry and William has now disintegrated into all-out war, with claims made in Harry’s book Spare that the two engaged in physical fights.”

According to the biographer, “absolutely nothing has changed” between the brothers and there seems to be little hope of them patching things up anytime soon.

In the book he states: “I was talking to a source quite early on in the process, and they called Harry a ‘defector’ and said that was William’s view.

“These were two men who once upon a time were firmly aligned in their outlook. One of them had to move on to also protect the crown.”

Prince Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” released in January 2023, delved into personal grievances and family dynamics, further highlighting the rift with William.

The book described several incidents of tension and misunderstanding between the brothers.

According to Prince Harry, tensions peaked when William called Meghan Markle “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.”

The Duke described his older brother as “parroting the narratives” about Meghan, which sparked a heated argument between the brothers at the Duke’s residence in London in 2019.

During the confrontation, he alleged that his brother grabbed him by the collar, tore his necklace, and forcefully knocked him to the floor, causing visible injuries.

Despite the tension, the brothers have appeared together at several family events, including Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021 and the unveiling of a statue of their mother, Princess Diana, in July 2021.
