Josh Radnor, an actor, is asking $3.85 million for his Los Angeles home.

Josh Radnor is selling the Los Angeles home he has lived in for the past five years, offering it for $3.85 million on Tuesday.

According to property records, the actor, who is most known for playing Ted Mosby in “How I Met Your Mother,” paid $2.987 million for the house in 2019. A request for comment from Radnor’s 49-year-old representative was not immediately answered.

The 1928 Spanish-Mediterranean property still has many of its original features, but it has recently undergone some contemporary interior renovations, such as new hardware, built-in Sonos speakers, refinished kitchen and bathrooms, and custom shelves.

“We assume the windows, large wood beams in the living room, some tile floors and charming archways throughout [are original],” said listing agent Fred Dapp of the Agency. “The collaboration with designer Kishani Perera was to maintain many distinctive features while complementing with new imported tiles, custom built-in shelves and vintage light fixtures.”

Located in the Los Feliz Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, the two-story home offers about 3,580 square feet of living space. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, including a primary suite with a walk-in closet and a balcony.

Other interior features include a two-story entry with a hand-stenciled coffered ceiling—which Dapp said is the “most unique” detail of the home—stained-glass windows and a stone gas fireplace.

Three rooms open out to the center courtyard, which provides space for both lounging and outdoor dining and is surrounded by mature landscaping. There’s also a “hidden hammock retreat,” a reading porch and a two-car garage with an EV charging port.

The home’s location places it in very close proximity to hiking trails that lead to the Los Angeles landmark Griffith Observatory.
