Margot Robbie divulges the techniques of pickpocketing she honed for her role in ‘Focus’ with co-star Will Smith, a thrilling exploration of the art of deception.

She’s currently playing the villainous Harley Quinn on the set of Suicide Squad – but it seems Margot Robbie’s descent to the dark side may have began while filming Focus.

The 24-year-old actress reveals in new DVD footage for the flick that she learned how to pickpocket for her role as Jess Barrett.

Explaining that pick-pocketing is ‘all about distraction and is all about manipulating people physically and emotionally,’ she added with a mischievous grin ‘I was quite pleased with myself, I felt like a pro.

The stunning Australian starlet was seen wearing a stylish purple jacket with floral embellishments over a low-cut black top.

Margot had accessorised with golden hoop earrings that almost matched her vibrant blonde locks, her face lit up by smiles as she regaled stories from the Focus set.

She added that one of the most challenging scenes in the film was shooting in New Orleans’ bustling French Quarter in heels, saying she lacked the coordination to maneuver through crowds.

‘I trip on thin air in flat shoes – they bubble wrap cameras when I walk on set because I will walk into anything,’ she joked.

Margot and Focus co-star Will Smith exhibited strong charisma in the movie – enough so that rumours of an off-screen relationship circulated early last year.

But the Wolf Of Wall Street starlet, who’s dating boyfriend Tom Ackerly, quashed the ‘ridiculous’ rumours on social media, saying there’s ‘no truth’ to them.

The two are currently working together on blockbuster ensemble flick Suicide Squad in Toronto.

Margot will play Harley Quinn in the film, due to be released next year, while 46-year-old Will plays another Batman baddie, Deadshot.

Focus is available on DVD and Blu-Ray on June 17.
