Looking to regain trust and relationship with Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio asked to face Jey Uso during WWE RAW (July 15, 2024).

As “Dirty” Dom was chatting backstage with Damian Priest, Jey Uso showed up to interrupt them, implying that he might have a chance with the Australian because she was now single. This angered Dominik, prompting Damin to tell him that he needed to fix this so that he could look to face Jey tonight. Dom informed Rhea that he had arranged to go one-on-one with “The YEET!” Man to prove to everyone that she “belonged to him,” but his choice of words further angered Ripley.

Dominik Mysterio interrupted his rival’s entrance to knock him off the corner before the champion’s ring sounded to start the match. As Dom beat down Jey Uso , he yelled that he shouldn’t mess with “his Mami,” she couldn’t be insulted like he did, and she still “belonged to him.” Although Dom hit a “Three Amigos” on Jey, he couldn’t land a “619” due to his opponent’s reaction. But that wasn’t enough to make Dom lose focus, as he was determined to prove his worth to Rhea Ripley , and he sent Jey face first into the post.

Back in the ring, Jey Uso reacts to connect a couple of blows to his rival and thus regain ground in the fight. Jey attacks to the rhythm of “YEET!” until he knocks Dom down with an “Enzuigiri” and then gains momentum to connect a “Hip Attack”. When Jey was about to finish Dom with a “Uso Splash”, LIV MORGAN appeared to get Dom out of the ring. The World Champion distracted Dominik Mysterio while he tried to talk to him, until Jey attacked Dominik from behind, causing him to fall on Liv during WWE RAW ( July 15, 2024 ).

Liv turned the tables on Dom and prevented him from leaving. RHEA RIPLEY interrupted the moment with her presence and Liv Morgan escaped back into the crowd. Dominik Mysterio wanted to explain the situation to Rhea Ripley because he did nothing wrong and after wasting time, the Australian made way for Dom to return to the ring. By then Jey Uso had recovered and struck out Dominik with a “Spear” followed by a “Uso Splash.” Jey Uso gets the win and tells Rhea from a distance to call him! Mami was not happy to see Dominik Mysterio lose, but his presence and that of Liv Morgan caused his defeat with this whole ‘love triangle’ mess.

After the match, Dominik Mysterio found himself walking backstage alone and disconsolate. Damian Priest intercepted him because the loss had been tough. Rhea Ripley showed up to show some compassion after Dominik’s efforts all night and ended by saying, “Dom, Dom, let’s get one thing straight: I don’t belong to anyone. You’re mine,” before giving him a black rose and a smile.
