Jackman’s comeback as Wolverine is enormous on many levels, in part because everyone thought Logan (2017) was the last time he would don the claws as the beloved Marvel superhero. In Deadpool & Wolverine, the actor even dons a comic book-accurate Wolverine outfit, creating even more fan excitement as the once unthinkable becomes a reality. In the same spirit, the idea of a possible Wolverine vs. Hulk matchup would be extremely beneficial to the franchise.

Having iconic characters like Wolverine and Hulk finally share the screen was something the MCU audience could only dream of for years when the X-Men rights were with 20th Century Fox. But now that the mutant mythology is fully part of Marvel Studios, there is no reason why The Multiverse Saga shouldn’t embrace showdowns like Hulk vs. Wolverine down the line. It would also genuinely be interesting to see which of the two would actually end up victorious in this live-action Marvel landscape.
