You Won’t Believe the Price at Which YouTuber Philip DeFranco Is Looking to Rent Out His L.A. Home

YouTuber Philip DeFranco recently listed his five-bedroom home in Encino, California, for rent. However, only the wealthiest individuals need to apply.

The 38-year-old DeFranco, also known online as PhillyD, is requesting an astounding $25,000 per month to live in the lavish five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home. But, there are several benefits that come with that high cost.

Constructed on a 1.1-acre property in 1938, the 5,931-square-foot house is equipped with several facilities. The renter will have access to a movie theater, sauna, tennis court, and swimming pool.

The house’s Old World foundation has been tastefully modernized inside, creating a modern home with all the conveniences of the present without sacrificing its classic charm.

The living area features a fireplace, floating shelves, and a beamed vaulted ceiling. The wonderful elements in the adjacent kitchen include Viking equipment, filtered water dispenser, and gorgeous kelly green Shaker-style cabinets.

Love to host? Then the walk-in pantry and second refrigerator will be the perfect spots to stockpile plenty of provisions for your next party.

The outdoor amenities are equally impressive. There’s a guesthouse with its own bedroom and bath, a pool, tennis court, sauna, cabanas for changing, and space for an art studio or a home office. There’s even a soundproof room for recording sessions.

DeFranco is a long-time YouTuber, having stared his vlog back in 2006. He has produced and written such programs as “The Station” and “BlackBox TV.” He continues to post videos four days a week, covering the news, pop culture, and funny gags.

Over the years, DeFranco has built up a following of more than 6.55 million subscribers on his main YouTube account.

Previously known online as sxephil, he has also launched several other channels during his online career, including a vlogging account and a pop culture-devoted YouTube.

Although the online star has not yet publicly addressed his reasons for renting out his home, both he and wife Lindsay DeFranco have shared some insights on their Instagram accounts.

In May, Lindsay revealed that the couple had decided to leave Los Angeles and return to their native Atlanta, explaining that they wanted to be closer to their extended family.

“Once I had kids, I realized what was missing was a sense of community,” she wrote in her post. “Growing up close to my extended family, I experienced firsthand the benefits of such connections, and I want the same for my kids.”
