A more darker version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is set to happen with the much awaited Blade reboot, which stars Mahershala Ali as the title vampire hunter and won an Academy Award. This movie, which is slated for release in 2025, is Ali’s first solo venture as the half-human, half-vampire antihero. His previous appearance was a vocal cameo in the post-credits sequence of the 2021 film Eternals.

The new Blade movie is set to explore the origins of Eric Brooks, also known as Blade, as he navigates the murky underworld of vampires while struggling with his own identity as a “daywalker”—a being who possesses all the strengths of a vampire with none of their weaknesses.
