April showers had swept over New York, making for a gloomy and wet day. However, Jennifer Lawrence isn’t going to let it get to her down. Instead, she’s deciding to be her own sunshine, as suggested by an encouraging Tumblr quote or driftwood HomeGoods sign.

While taking a stroll, the actor decided to wear accents in bright yellow. She wore a double-breasted trench coat over a navy cardigan that was buttoned at the neck and a buttery ribbed top below. She accessorized her bottom half with a black leather belt tightening a pair of blue pants. Wearing black-rimmed spectacles with yellow lenses and daffodil Vans, Lawrence accessorized her cheery ensemble with yellow pieces.

The star of Lawrence’s ensemble, however, was her purse: the Ralph Lauren Polo ID bag, a shoulder bag with a crescent moon design and a banana Laffy Taffy color. One cannot help but gaze at Lawrence’s bag in the same way that they would the sun, even with the rest of her vibrantly colored items. Maybe the solar eclipse on Monday was her inspiration.
