Max Verstappen’s partner Kelly Piquet went on a short adventure with her daughter Penelope. She was seen riding on a horse alongside a beach on her social media.

Earlier this week, Verstappen and Piquet were seen on vacation enjoying the F1 summer break. Following that, Piquet’s Instagram stories on Saturday showed her beside a beautiful landscape that finished up on a beach. The contrasting colors of the sand and the sky seemed to be merging with the ocean. Piquet was riding a horse along this spectacular view while her daughter Penelope was accompanying her group.

Kelly Piquet regularly posts pictures with her daughter, Penelope, who turned five earlier in July. She was born in 2019 when Piquet was dating former Red Bull driver Daniil Kvyat.

Currently, she is in a relationship with Max Verstappen. The two have been together since 2021, the year when he won his first F1 World Championship. Earlier this week, a social media update revealed that they were on vacation.

After the challenging first half of the 2024 F1 season, the summer break came in at just the right time for the drivers. At around the same time as the Paris Olympics, the drivers went on vacation. Interestingly, three drivers chose Portugal as their location of choice; Pierre Gasly, Lando Norris, and Max Verstappen.

The reigning world champion visited Comporta, a scenic village on the country’s southwestern coast. His official website’s X handle also shared his picture with partner Kelly Piquet, captioned:

“Enjoying a well-deserved summer break 🌅☀️”

Max Verstappen has had a challenging season so far. Although the RB20 was strong initially helping him win multiple races, other teams were able to catch up with upgrades. Currently, the McLaren is seemingly the fastest. A total of seven different drivers have won races in the season, a striking contrast when compared to the last two seasons.

However, Red Bull and Max Verstappen still lead the World Championship. McLaren is slowly closing in on the gap in the Constructors’ standings, but Verstappen has been consistent in scoring points. One of the major issues that can affect Red Bull in the future is Sergio Perez’s performance. If Perez does not improve his performance, the team could lose their title later in the season.
