DJ Khaled Finds a Buyer for His Mediterranean Villa Outside of Miami

Music producer and social media star DJ Khaled has finally sold his Mediterranean villa outside of Miami.

While the buyer and the sale price could not be determined at this point—as the transaction has yet to appear in public records—the asking price was just shy of $6 million when it went into contract in mid-February, listing records show.

The house in the gated community of Island Estates in Aventura, Florida, offers approximately 6,700 square feet of living space, including five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, an open-floor living and dining area, a gourmet chef’s kitchen and a custom movie theater, according to the listing with Janet Ben Zvi of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.

Throughout, the house features vaulted 30-foot ceilings, marble and walnut hardwood floors, impact glasses and smart home system.

“Leading with its intricate Mediterranean design, glorious tall archways displayed throughout, 240 feet of water frontage, spellbound pool and spa, the home gives a new meaning to resort-style living,” Ms. Zvi said in a statement.

Additionally, the home features large walk-in closets fit for every sneaker connoisseur, like Mr. Khaled, and a woman who adores haute couture, she said.

“DJ Khaled has truly developed a unique real estate landmark offering a vast repertoire of white-glove amenities and services exclusively in Prive Island,” Ms. Zvi said.

Mr. Khaled, 44, whose full name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled, could not be immediately reached for comment.

He bought the house in 2015 for $3.59 million, according to property records. He spent about $2.5 million renovating the home, Ms. Zvi told The Wall Street Journal when she first listed the property for one dollar short of $8 million in December 2018.

In April 2019, the property was relisted for $6.6 million. The price dropped to $6 million in December last year. It went into contract on Feb. 17, listing records show.

Mr. Khaled, a producer for musicians such as Kanye West and Snoop Dogg and a media personality with close to 19 million Instagram followers, bought a home in Miami Beach for $21.75 million in September 2018, per property records.

The New York Post first reported the sale.
