Conor McGregor provides major update on whether Mike Perry is really ‘fired’ from BKFC as he claims ‘Platinum’ is ‘afraid’ of a bare-knuckle legend

Conor McGregor has given his stance on whether Mike Perry is genuinely ‘fired’ from BKFC as he accuses ‘Platinum’ of being afraid of one of the company’s biggest stars.

‘The Notorious’ made waves in Marbella, Spain, over the weekend, promoting a card filled with explosive knockouts and wild moments.

Conor McGregor says Mike Perry is still fired from BKFC, but concedes he’s willing to give ‘Platinum’ another chance

On July 20, at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, USA, Mike Perry put it all on the line in a boxing match with Jake Paul.

In a spirited effort, the UFC veteran gave everything he had to try and claim the victory. But ultimately, he was too small and too inexperienced, succumbing to a sixth-round knockout defeat.

The loss enraged Conor McGregor, who almost instantly claimed he’d fired the American from BKFC. However, as time has gone on, he’s somewhat reconsidered his position.

After all, the 33-year-old has proven himself in the bare-knuckle realm, defeating heavy hitters like Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Luke Rockhold.

When asked whether Perry is still fired, ‘The Notorious’ answered in the affirmative. However, the former 2x UFC champion conceded that he’s potentially willing to give the fan-favorite another shot, claiming that Platinum’s scared of one of the promotion’s champions.

In an interview with The Schmo, McGregor said: “Mike [Perry] is fired, but we’re in negotiations. [Dave] ‘Redneck’ Mundell called him out.

“He’s been afraid of Mundell. We had to give him a little cherry-pick-made title, ‘The King of Violence’ or whatever you call it, but he was never a world champion. And he’s afraid of Dave ‘Redneck’ Mundell. He’s called him out now; let’s see what Perry responds.”

David Feldman never wanted Mike Perry to box Jake Paul and claims he has a big name lined up for the MMA veteran’s comeback

While Paul vs Perry was a huge clash in the world of boxing, there were some who weren’t overly thrilled about the idea.

BKFC founder, David Feldman, felt taking the match-up wasn’t the right move for one of the biggest stars in his promotion.

In an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, he opened up about why he believes Platinum should’ve steered clear of lacing up the ten-ounce gloves, and teased who the icon might fight next.
