Jason Momoa will play the title character in Lobo, DC Studios’ live-action rendition of the cosmic bounty hunter’s exploits. On July 11, 2026, the movie will be released in theaters, ushering in a new era for DC’s film franchise.

Jason Momoa, known for his portrayal of Aquaman, will now trade his trident for a space-faring motorbike. Momoa’s rugged charisma and larger-than-life persona make him a natural fit to embody Lobo, the unkillable Czarnian known for his crude humor, love of chaos, and penchant for over-the-top violence.
