‘I’d fight both of them’ – WWE Hall of Famer open to boxing match with Logan Paul AND Conor McGregor

WWE Hall of Famer John Layfield would fight both Logan Paul and Conor McGregor for $250million.

Layfield, more commonly known as JBL from his time in the WWE, also admitted he is a fan of Paul, but that didn’t hold him back from wanting to fight him too.

The 58-year-old had some of the most iconic rivals in WWE history, going back and forth with the likes of Rey Mysterio, CM Punk and Shawn Michaels during his 17-year in-ring career.

He held the WWE Championship in 2004 for 280 days, and now works as an ambassador and commentator for the company.

“God bless them, I’d fight,” Layfield said, speaking on What Were They Thinking with Gerald Brisco.

“I’d fight both of them for $250million. I’d fight Mr. Brisco for $250million.

“I’ve lost to him a million times. I’d lose again. I love it. I think it’s great. I think the Paul brothers are freaking killing it.”

This follows a bombshell announcement in December from McGregor, who claimed he was in ‘preliminary agreements’ with Indian billionaire family the Ambani’s to box Paul in their native country.

He then added fuel to the fire by posting an Indian flag and heart emoji in response to an article that claimed he had agreed to fight Paul at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium for $500m.

The 36-year-old also reiterated the nine-figure sum he would receive for fighting the YouTuber-turned-WWE superstar by writing: “$250,000,000 I’m coming,” on X.

Paul, however, has since stated that he was ‘100 per cent committed’ to his beloved sport of wrestling during WWE’s debut on Netflix last Monday.

This prompted a response from KSI and Tommy Fury, who both individually urged McGregor to contact them as Paul’s replacement.

Fury said: “Conor McGregor don’t waste your time with beaten fighters.

“Fight the man who’s beaten them all and still has his 0. I’ll be waiting.”

KSI responded: “Not rumoured, I’m down,” and later added: “”Let’s make this a reality Conor McGregor.”

McGregor hasn’t fought in MMA since breaking his leg in a devastating trilogy defeat to Dustin Poirier in 2021.

He was set to make a comeback last year against Michael Chandler, but their highly anticipated clash was abandoned after he injured his toe while sparring.

The Irishman still has two fights remaining on his deal with the UFC, but has yet to set any new plans in stone over a return to the cage.

KSI and Fury were linked themselves with a rematch, but it now appears they are both focused on their pursuits of McGregor.

McGregor has fought just once in the boxing ring for one of the biggest crossover combat sports events of all time.

He challenged the undefeated superstar Floyd Mayweather, who was 49-0 at the time and went 50-0 after, to a boxing match, with both men splitting a $410m cash prize for the bout.

Mayweather pocketed the lion’s share of money for the fight billed ‘The Money Fight’, taking home around $280m, while McGregor banked roughly $130m.
