Jordan Maron spent the tail end of last year unexpectedly shuffling his Pasadena property portfolio. Around three months after the successful YouTuber and Twitch streamer known as CaptainSparklez doled out $4.5 million for a contemporary spread with a showroom-style garage where he could better display his pricey collection of exotic cars, he wound up selling a hilltop midcentury-modern home about eight minutes away for a speck over $4 million, just $8,000 more than he paid less than a year ago.
Designed by noted modernist architect Lyman Ennis and completed in the 1950s, Maron’s recently sold post-and-beam house is perched above the Annandale Golf Club amid a gated 1.75-acre parcel in the North Arroyo neighborhood. Inside, the single-level abode features three bedrooms and two baths in a little more than 3,500 square feet boasting terrazzo floors and soaring wood-paneled ceilings throughout. Vast expanses of glass frame picturesque views of the surrounding San Gabriel Mountains.

An office sits off the entry foyer, while a fireside living room steps up to a formal dining area, and an adjacent kitchen comes with quartz countertops, dual islands, premium appliances, and a secondary kitchen tucked around the corner. Secluded in its own wing is a primary suite with a raised-hearth fireplace and a spa-inspired bath showcased by a Japanese soaking tub. A seating area leads outdoors, where the grounds are laced with native plantings and hold a curvaceous pool, along with a covered loggia ideal for alfresco lounging and entertaining.
As for Maron’s newly acquired residence in the city’s Linda Vista enclave, the two-story concrete-hued and green-trimmed structure was built in 2002 by Renato Corzo and has three bedrooms and an equal number of baths in roughly 3,500 square feet of updated living space. There’s a living area sporting a fireplace flanked by built-in shelving and floor-to-ceiling walls of glass, as well as a formal dining room and a gourmet kitchen adjoining a family room with a mod-style fireplace.

Other highlights include an office, a sizable primary suite containing a wet bar, and densely wooded grounds spanning nearly an acre and hosting a fire pit and a waterfall-enhanced infinity pool. Of course, there’s also the aforementioned detached garage for the avid car enthusiast.
Maron, 32, is a Los Angeles native who first gained online fame primarily via streaming his Minecraft gameplay on YouTube. Through the years, he’s garnered more than 4 billion lifetime views and roughly 14 million subscribers across his numerous channels on the platform.
