SUPERMAN – New ‘Heroes” Trailer (2025) James Gunn, David Corenswet

The estate of the original author, Joseph Schuster, is suing Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Comics over James Gunn’s Superman film, which is currently facing legal issues. As the Superman movie is scheduled to release this summer, DC Studios is coming closer to releasing the first DCU movie now that Gunn’s new superhero franchise is up and going. A lawsuit against Gunn’s film, DC, and Warner Bros. Discovery is centered on Superman, which is just a few months away from being released.

According to Deadline, the estate of Joseph Schuster, who co-created Superman, has hit Warner Bros. Discovery with a lawsuit about the upcoming DC Universe movie starring David Corenswet, claiming that DC Studios doesn’t have the proper rights to release the new film in selected “key territories.” A Warner Bros. Discovery spokesperson said, “We fundamentally disagree with the merits of the lawsuit, and will vigorously defend our rights.”
