The late great Kobe Bryant has brought Los Angeles Lakers and basketball fans joy throughout his illustrious 20-year career. Time and time again, he came up clutch in big moments, brought home five titles to the Laker organization, and united the city of Los Angeles like no other.
That is why, with his sudden passing, the world and Los Angeles mourned like we’d lost a family member because, in a way, we did. Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten. Bryant brought so many countless memories, and with his statue unveiling on Thursday, what better way to remember him than having current Laker players share their favorite Kobe memories?
Here are some current Lakers who shared their favorite Black Mamba memory.

Current Lakers like Austin Reaves, Max Christie, Jarred Vanderbilt, Taurean Prince, Christian Wood, and Anthony Davis were a few to share moments they’ve either experienced with Kobe or memories they’ll cherish forever.
It’s tough just to choose one as there are so many. We all have a favorite Kobe memory, but one of my favorites is Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, willing the Lakers to victory over the rival Boston Celtics to bring home the franchise’s 16th NBA championship. It was Bryant’s fifth title with Los Angeles.
Nothing is sweeter than beating Boston, and it felt even sweeter watching Kobe avenge that 2008 loss a bit in 2010. Kobe has meant a lot to the game of basketball, the NBA, and the current generation in the league. Many of them watched, studied, and embraced him like many Laker fans have from the start of his career to now.
His legacy will live on forever.
