A stag do group have revealed how their night out at the pub was gate-crashed by Hollywood beauty Margot Robbie.
Best man Tony was out celebrating his best friend’s stag do in a remote Scottish pub last summer at the height of Barbie’s box office success.
Tony and 11 pals were enjoying pints and dinner in the tiny pub when conversation turned to that summer’s new movie releases.
‘I was sitting with a view of Margot and certainly noticed an attractive lady at the table, but had no idea it was Margot. At one point we started talking about Oppenheimer and Barbie as they had just come out,’ Tony tells MailOnline.
Margot herself told the tale at a recent screening for her hit movie in Los Angeles, revealing ‘I listened for about 30 minutes to a group of guys on a bachelor party discussing the Barbie movie not knowing that I was sitting two or three feet away from them.’

Tony insists the group only had ‘good things to say’ about Margot’s movie, but one pal ‘did say that we should go see it “for the culture”.’
Margot has admitted she ‘wasn’t going to go up to’ Tony and his friend but changed her mind as she was leaving the pub.
‘I went to their table and I went “Thank you for seeing the Barbie movie.” It was very funny, they lost it. It took a full minute for them to realise and I was practically out the door and they went “Ohhhh”‘.
Tony tells MailOnline his side, recalling the jaw-dropping moment he recognised the stunning star.
‘Towards the end of the dinner I noticed the lady I had seen earlier was approaching our table with her date.’
‘We all looked up and she says to us with a big smile, “Hey, I just wanted to thank you all for going to see the Barbie movie!”‘.
‘She turned around and walked out right afterwards and we all just sat there with our jaws on the floor.’
‘Then we all started freaking out, some of us yelling “was that actually her?!”. The waitress came out at that point dying laughing and said, “we heard you start talking about Barbie and were back in the kitchen freaking out. We were hoping you didn’t say anything bad!”.’

Tony has declared the moment ‘was definitely the highlight of the trip and I incorporated it into my best man’s speech back in London.’
As for Margot, she previously gushed that ‘people’s reactions to the movie have been the biggest reward of this entire experience.’
‘Whether it’s having a moment like that, or whether it’s listening in the bathrooms, or whether it’s seeing what people are writing online.’
‘I’ve never been a part of something like this. Not like this.’
Aussie actress Margot used to live in the UK, in a flatshare London, and still regularly visits when she isn’t in Los Angeles.
Margot’s former home in Clapham, affectionately known as ‘The Manor’ by its residents, was where Margot began her relationship with her husband, Surrey-born film-maker Tom Ackerley, and had what she describes as ‘the best times’.
The lease on the property was originally signed in early 2014, shortly after the release of the film which would make her name – Martin Scorcese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street.

Margot extolled the unlikely joys of living in Clapham in an interview with luxury London lifestyle magazine The Resident in 2017, gushing that she loved the ‘unassuming’ vibe of her life there.
‘For me, where you live and what you do have to be simplistic and comfortable, otherwise how are you possibly going to relax?’ she said.
‘Clapham has always felt unassuming in the sense that you’re just left alone to get on with who you are, and that’s perfect. But I like living with lots of people. It reminds me of the house I grew up in.
‘It’s funny – I always think I want privacy because I’m never actually on my own, ever. But then when I am, I hate it. After five minutes I find people to hang out with.’
Margot got married to Tom in Byron Bay in December 2016. The following year, the duo made the move from London into a lavish 3,300 square-foot Los Angeles pad with four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
