Patrick Mahomes said his third Super Bowl win “means more” after the Kansas City Chiefs overcame a year filled with adversity to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL’s showpiece game on Sunday.

“I can’t even explain what was going through my mind, just extreme joy,” he began. “Didn’t even know where to go. So excited, man. So proud of the team, so proud of the guys.”

“To battle until the very end, that was a microcosm of our season, I said it and everybody came together and we were bale to get the win,” he said in what was an emotional discourse after the game.
