Ariana Grande tearfully reveals getting “ton” of lip injections for a heartbreaking reason.

Ariana Grande revealed why she thought she needed lip injections and how her perception of beauty has now changed

Ariana Grande became visibly emotional as she opened up about her experience with lip injections and Botox and why she has decided to stop using it. The pop singer, known for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, shared her journey in a Vogue Beauty Secrets video on September 12. In the video, the 30-year-old founder of R.E.M. Beauty confessed to having used lip fillers and Botox in the past but decided to discontinue these treatments in 2018.

During the video, while applying lip color, Ariana Grande became teary-eyed as she spoke about her decision to stop using cosmetic injectables. She explained that she felt she had gone too far with these procedures and that they made her feel like she was hiding her true self.

Ariana Grande admitted that for a long time, her approach to beauty was about concealing herself. She used makeup and elaborate hairstyles as a way to disguise herself or hide behind a persona. However, she still had a fondness for those styles.

She explained that her evolving aesthetic was influenced by starting her career in the public eye at a young age, where she had to deal with criticism and opinions about her appearance.

As she gained confidence, Grande’s perspective on cosmetics shifted. She now views makeup as a form of self-expression and a way to enhance her natural features. She emphasized that everyone’s relationship with beauty is personal and that the goal should be to feel your best and be loved.

“I don’t love [disguise] being the intention behind it anymore,” she told Vogue. “I think of it as self expression now and accentuating what is here. Our relationships to beauty are so personal, like we’re here talking about beauty secrets, isn’t the secret that we all just want to feel our best and be loved?”

While Ariana Grande hasn’t ruled out the possibility of future cosmetic procedures, she doesn’t judge those who choose to use Botox and fillers. She expressed a desire for open and honest conversations about these topics in the future.

“To each their own, whatever makes you feel beautiful, I do support, but I know for me I was just like, oh, I want to see my well-earned cry lines and smile lines,” Grande explained. “I hope my smile lines get deeper and deeper. And I laugh more and more and I just think aging can be such a beautiful thing.”

She further said, “”Now, might I get a facelift in 10 years? Might, yeah! But these are just thoughts that I feel like we should be able to discuss,” she said. “If we’re sitting here talking about beauty secrets, f— it let’s lay it all out there.”
