Lisa, a pop singer from the South Korean girl group Blackpink, recently paid $3.95 million for a recently remodeled home in Beverly Hills.
Legally known as Lalisa Manobal, the 27-year-old Thai rapper, singer, and dancer got her breakthrough with Blackpink in 2016 and went on to create her first solo successful album, “Lalisa,” in 2021, which helped her land an RCA Records contract. Next year, she’ll make her acting debut in the critically acclaimed HBO series “The White Lotus.” She closed on the California house in mid-March, according to property records.
“It’s a magical property,” said Lori Harris of Keller Williams Los Feliz, who listed it with colleague Brock Harris and Farrah Brittany of the Agency. “Even though it’s a brand-new renovation, it has an old-world feel. You pull up in Beverly Hills, and you feel transported.”
She noted that at over 1.3 acres, it’s “quite private because of the enormous lot. It’s surrounded by hills and views.”
Property records show that the seller, the Los Angeles-based design firm House of Rolison, paid $2.36 million for the property in 2023 and completely refurbished the 1924 mansion, turning it into a modern take on an English country estate.
Many of the original features of the house, such as the iron sconces, the plaster fireplace, the river rock fireplace, the numerous decks, and the pathway up the hillside, were still included in the design of the House of Rolison.
There is also a gorgeous river rock fireplace in the room.
“It’s a very serene and peaceful space,” Harris said.
The 3,387-square-foot, vine-covered home is nestled in the slopes of Coldwater Canyon, a peninsula that runs alongside the Santa Monica Mountains. It features four bedrooms, a clay tile roof, stone flooring, and vaulted timber ceilings.
Manobal’s gated compound is set back from the street behind high hedges and is landscaped with olive trees and bushes. The grounds have a large wooden terrace with a pizza oven, and there’s room for a pool, which is in the house’s master plan.
“What’s special and rare about the team at House of Rolison is that they believe that what’s inside the walls matters,” Harris said. “They care about the structure, the not-seen parts of the house, including the pipes and the major systems. They make all their projects as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.”
Manobal, who has won a number of accolades, became the first K-pop soloist to win an MTV Video Music Award and an MTV Europe Music Award. She did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.
