Lizzo Dazzles at the Met Gala After Party in Strappy Sandals

Lizzo was seen attending the Met Gala after party alongside SZA and others on Monday night in New York City wearing a glossy pair of purple strappy sandals.

The “About Damn Time” singer is known for her bold and eclectic footwear styling for high-profile events. This past October, Lizzo shared a series of snaps via Instagram of her wearing a pair of Chanel shoes that featured a slip-on construction with breezy open toes and thick straps. The footwear fell under the category of the “Ugly Sandals” trend, as it was marked by large straps and an oversized chunky construction that prioritized comfort and foot support.

Earlier that year, the artist performed at a Tennessee concert in chunky combat boots that included lace-up black uppers with silver eyelets, rounded toes and thick soles. Lizzo tends to prefer Stuart Weitzman, Staud and Jimmy Choo when it comes to her formal footwear, and Prada for her boot selections. When not in boots or embellished pumps and sandals, you can usually find the musician in sneakers and cozy slides.

About the shoes

Lizzo’s shoes for the Met Gala after party in New York city were doused in a hot pink color and featured an angular toe box. Cut with patent leather material, the sandals featured a slim ankle strap on the outer, and were rounded out by a sharp stiletto heel that measured between 3.5 and 4-inches. The singer was pictured alongside fellow musician SZA, who wore a pair of silver embellished Christian Louboutin elevated sandals that also had a stiletto heel measuring between 3.5 and 4-inches.
