Race car driver Lewis Hamilton is selling a New York penthouse he never lived in for $57million

Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton is selling one of his two Manhattan penthouses for $14 million more than he paid for it, after never having lived in the property.

The five-time World Champion has listed the unit at 443 Greenwich Street, New York, for $57 million.

The 8,900-square-foot penthouse covers three floors and includes its own pool, but neighbor and Jet.com founder Marc Lore paid just $43.8 million for a similar place.

The difference in price have neighbors calling 34-year-old Hamilton’s asking price ‘out-of-whack with reality’ according to the New York Post.

Hamilton – who used to date singer Nicole Scherzinger – paid $43.99 million for the spot in 2017, and snapped up another residence in the TriBeCa neighborhood last month, for $40.7 million.

It includes 3,400 square feet of outdoor space, and its own pool, in addition to the community pool that everyone within the building has access to.

The sprawling great room spans 20 feet alone, and the combined library and den space has a gas fireplace.

There is ample space to dine and entertain within the penthouse, with natural light filling the multiple floors.

The kitchen is not just your average kitchen either. It’s a chef’s kitchen, decked out with luxurious Christopher Peacock cabinets.

State of the art appliances are also included, perfect for someone who knows their way around crafting a delicious meal.

Beautiful woodwork is featured throughout the property, with natural looking stairs available to take the owner to the top floor.

But for those who would rather not walk up stairs, the lush residence comes equipped with another option.

The three-unit combination has its own internal private elevator, with access to a top terrace level with glass walls.

The asking price includes two parking spots, but Hamilton is hanging on to two more. The lot at the building only has 15 spaces in total.

The person who purchases Penthouse H on Greenwich Street will be in good company, with neighbors including Meg Ryan, Rebel Wilson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

Jennifer Lawrence also has a place in the building, but she rents it out. The Weeknd and Bella Hadid don’t own a spot, but they pay $60,000 per month to rent another penthouse on the property.

The five-time Formula One World Champion, who has been called the best driver of his generation, might be looking to set up shop at 70 Vestry Street, in the new place he purchased last month, located just one block away.
