Jennifer Lawrence has clapped back at critics who are convinced she got “full plastic surgery” due to her recently refreshed appearance.

Jennifer Lawrence has hit back a speculation she had “full plastic surgery” on her face recently.

The Hollywood star was accused of having work done after she sported a refreshed appearance at various events in the last few months.

In September, when the 33-year-old star stepped out for the Dior Fashion Show in Paris, critics were convinced she underwent the knife.

And there was as much scrutiny on her appearance when she attended the Saks Fifth Avenue 2023 holiday windows unveiling last week in New York.

Lawrence has since hit back at the surgery suggestions as she interviewed Kylie Jenner for Interview Magazine this week, explaining that the magic of makeup can be credited for her new look.

She recently began working with makeup artist Hung Vanngo, picking up some tips and tricks that have helped her elevate her look.

“It’s incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung, who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon, because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery,” Lawrence said.

“I’m like, ‘I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup.’”

Jenner told Lawrence she has “been seeing the pictures” but thinks the actress looks “amazing” and does not look like she’d had surgery at all. But the Oscar winner joked that the verdict was out.

“Well, apparently I’ve had full plastic surgery,” she quipped.

Lawrence also credited her changing look to ageing and said critics unfairly compare younger photos of her with her recent pictures.

“I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m ageing,’” said the star, who welcomed her first child, son Cy, with husband Cooke Maroney in February 2022.

“Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I’m like, ‘I’ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller.’ Thank you for bringing it up.”

For her part, Jenner said she has been under the same microscope growing up on her family’s reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“I did end up getting lip fillers, but it’s also the same with me,” Jenner said. “I’ll see before and after photos when I’m 12 years old versus 26 and my eyebrows are filled differently. I have contour on.”

“I’m like, ‘How can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve gotten my jaw shaved and eyelids removed?’ I’m like, ‘What are we talking about?’”
