The 2020 American superhero movie Bloodshot is based on the same-named character from Valiant Comics. It is meant to be the start of a movie series that takes place in a shared cinematic universe with Valiant Comics. Under the direction of David S. F. Wilson (in his first feature film directing role), the movie stars Vin Diesel, Eiza González, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell, and Guy Pearce. Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer wrote the script and Wadlow wrote the story. It centers on a soldier who was slain in combat and is given abilities by a group that intends to use him as a weapon.

Bloodshot was theatrically released in the United States on March 13, 2020, by Sony Pictures Releasing. The film grossed $37 million worldwide and received mixed reviews from critics. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic closing theaters across the globe, Sony made the film available digitally on-demand less than two weeks after it was released theatrically.
