Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid predicted line-ups and team news: Reus makes farewell, Courtois preferred for Champions League final

Borussia Dortmund face Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday and both teams have some big decisions to make.

Dortmund will be eyeing glory in their first appearance in this fixture since 2013 while Los Blancos aim to win their 15th European title at Wembley.

Edin Terzic and Carlo Ancelotti are preparing their sides for the final and the managers will be deciding on the best way to approach to the game.

It could see some changes to their teams and here, talkSPORT.com takes a look at how both teams could line up for the showpiece…

Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund named the exact same team for both legs of their semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain and it paid off for them.

Terzic could stick with that line-up with only Ramy Bensebaini and Sebastian Haller unavailable for the trip to Wembley.

However, his latest Bundesliga selection could hint at the team for the final.

In goal, Gregor Kobel will keep his place while a back four of Julian Ryerson, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck and Ian Maatsen will start.

Maatsen will be playing his final game for the club before his loan from Chelsea expires this summer.

Former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can will likely be at the base of the midfield alongside Marcel Sabitzer who has had an impressive season.

Next to them could be Julian Brandt and a final bow may be handed to Marco Reus.

He started for Dortmund in the last game against Darmstadt, scoring, assisting and potentially proving he’s ready to start again.

Reus will leave the German side after this game, so it would be a perfect send-off if he were to start and win the Champions League for his side.

On the wing, Jadon Sancho will start in what could be his last game for the club too while Karim Adeyemi takes his place in the left flank and Niclas Fullkrug leads the line.

Real Madrid

As for Real, they will likely make a couple of changes from their semi-final win over Bayern in the showpiece.

One of them could be enforced with Aurelien Tchouameni a doubt through injury while the other is expected to come in goal.

Andriy Lunin has been impressive between the sticks for Real this season with Thibaut Courtois missing out on a large chunk of the campaign.

However, Courtois could be preferred as the starting goalkeeper for the final with Ancelotti still undecided on who will play.

In defence, Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, Nacho and Ferland Mendy should start.

In front of them will be Toni Kroos who will play the final game of his domestic football career, eyeing another Champions League trophy to go out on a high.

If Tchouameni misses out, Eduardo Camavinga will likely take his place and join Federico Valverde in midfield.

Jude Bellingham will sit ahead of them while Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior lead the line.

Joselu came off the bench to score the winner in the semi-final and he will be ready to do the same if needed at Wembley this weekend.
