When you think side parts, you probably think of the TikTok discourse around the “millennial side part” or just a subtle brushing off hair gently to one side. Not so Jennifer Lawrence, who showed off a seriously side-swept style on the red carpet.

The actor has been booked and busy this red carpet season; it feels like we’ve seen her more in the past two months than we had in almost two years. The uptick in premieres and film festivals means lots and lots of looks, and Lawrence’s latest said “See ya, middle part!” in the chicest way yet. For the premiere of Sin Malos Rollos in Madrid, Spain, Lawrence wore her honey blonde hair in a sleek and straight side-parted style crafted by Gregory Russell, the stylist behind many of her best red carpet moments in recent weeks. Lawrence’s hair was blown out straight and parted very deeply to one side, with the parted section worn over one shoulder and the other half of her hair tucked behind her ear, all the better to show off those massive emerald stud earrings. Watch out, Gen Z TikTokers! The side part is back, baby! If Lawrence decides the side part is in again, all we can do is listen. She is Katniss Everdeen after all.

Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell kept Lawrence’s look simple and chic to mesh beautifully with her hair and strapless Loewe dress, defining her eyes with black liner and lots of lashes and painting the actor’s lips with a pretty subtle rose lipstick. Et voila! The most effortless “quiet luxury” red carpet look that pretty much anyone could DIY with a blowout brush, some styling cream and a lipstick. Sometimes the simplest looks are the most impactful, and Lawrence and her glam team would definitely agree.
