These days he doesn’t train nearly as hard as he did in the pros but he is still more than capable of performing a boxing masterclass on the pads.

In a video uploaded to his social media platforms, Mayweather can be seen stringing together an impressive multi-punch combination while evading shots from his pad man.

The sequence left fans in amazement as they flooded to the comment section to shower ‘TBE’ with praise.

One fan wrote: “Bro still got the fastest hands in boxing and that shoulder roll still working I see.”

Another tweeted: “Very skillful. He looks good enough now to take on the best.”

A third added: “A master professor practicing his craft.”

Somebody else posted: “The man still got it.”

Meanwhile, a fifth supporter mused: “It would be interesting to see what level he could actually compete at today.”

His upcoming fight with Ortiz has bad blood attached to it stretching to their ill-tempered bout in 2011.

With Ortiz struggling to lay a glove on Mayweather all night, the American turned to dirty tactics.

In round four, Ortiz trapped Mayweather against the ropes and landed a headbutt flush on his adversary’s chin.

Ortiz had a point deducted for the foul and instantly turned apologetic as he went over to Mayweather to try and embrace him.

Sensing his moment, Mayweather broke free from the hug and landed a devastating left hook-straight right combo that knocked Ortiz down and out.

Now, 13 years later Ortiz will have his chance to settle the score at the Plaza de Toros Mexico in Mexico City.
