Clash at the Castle was a big night for Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn and Chad Gable faced off at Clash at the Castle in the OVO Hydro in Scotland. The Glasgow crowd was enthusiastic throughout the match and the entire event.

The fans were vocal in their support for Sami Zayn, singing his theme song and chanting “ole” as the match began. Gable’s control over Alpha Academy had been weakening since he turned heel, while the rest of the stable remained faces. During the match, Maxxine Dupri refused to hit Sami with the Intercontinental Title, leading to a confrontation with Gable.

Otis intervened, appearing ready to turn on Gable, but Sami interrupted with a plancha to the outside. Gable later had Zayn in an ankle lock, but Zayn countered, causing Gable to collide with Maxxine. Otis, concerned for Maxxine, carried her away instead of helping Gable, leaving him vulnerable.

This allowed Sami Zayn to hit a Helluva Kick and retain the title. The fans popped big time when he got the clean win.
