Luke Littler is one of the most talked about sportsmen on the planet at the moment – and not just because of his ability on the oche.

The Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship finalist has captured the attention of the entire world on his unprecedented run at Ally Pally. Littler is into the final on debut having dispatched all before him, including 2018 world champion Rob Cross.

Littler, who is somehow only 16, is drawing headlines for his freakishly good performances on the darts board. But he’s also capturing the attention for his fascinating diet, which appears to consist of kebabs, pizzas and omelettes (sounds good to us).

With that in mind, Daily Star Sport takes a look at how Littler’s diet compares to that of other elite sportsmen, including Tyson Fury and Cristiano Ronaldo. Just don’t count the calories.

Luke Littler

Littler’s run to the final of the World Darts Championship has been fuelled by three things. Kebabs – which he likes to scoff after taking his opponent to the cleaners – omelettes and pizzas.

The 16-year-old’s love of greasy doner meat became clear after his first round win over Christian Kist. But his pre-match routine of ham and cheese omelettes and pizzas only emerged after his semi-final win over Cross.

“I’ll keep doing what I have been doing,” he said. “I don’t wake up until 12, in the morning go for my ham and cheese omelette, come here and have my pizza, and then go on the practice board It is what I have been doing every day – if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.”

Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo’s diet is slightly different to Littler’s, it’s fair to say. For a start, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man has his own personal personal dietician, who has worked with him ever since he was at the Bernabeu.

CR7 typically eats seven meals a day and drinks litres of water to maintain his impeccable body. He often eats a breakfast of ham and cheese (not that different to Littler’s omelette), combined with a low-fat yoghurt.

Then it’s the turn of his first lunch of the day, usually chicken and salad. His second lunch is generally a dish consisting of tuna, olives, egg and tomato and is followed by a snack of fresh fruit and avocado toast.

To top it all off he wolfs down two dinners. The first is swordfish (no thanks, Chris) and salad with the second being steak and calamari, which he reportedly eats on a daily basis.

Tyson Fury

Boxers – particularly heavyweights – need to pile up those calories. Tyson Fury is no different. George Lockhart, founder of Lock loaded fitness, detailed Fury’s entire diet during fight week in conversation with Betway prior to his clash with Francis Ngannou.

The 35-year-old’s wild menu included roast potatoes for breakfast on Monday, lamb kebabs on Tuesday evening and peanut butter and honey consumed at 12am on Wednesday. And no, that’s not a new Craig David remix we’re trying out.

Fury also eats plenty of chicken throughout the week, plus eggs, sausages, rice, fruit and yoghurt – although not all in one sitting. In all the heavyweight champion had six separate meal times each day, which sounds like a lot even for us over Christmas.

Conor McGregor

UFC legend Conor McGregor is preparing for his long-awaited Octagon comeback after a period out with a leg-break. His nutritionist, Tristin Kennedy, explained how the Irishman is preparing with his current diet.

Kennedy told ESPN that McGregor’s food intake consists of five meals per day, starting with oats and eggs and sautéed green leafy vegetables. That’s followed by a fruit and herb salad and organic holiday, with lunch of chicken breast, plus rice and asparagus.

A midday snack of McGregor FAST vanilla whey protein shake with nut butter us then followed by a dinner of Irish lamb stew with potatoes. McGregor finishes off his day with homemade McGregor FAST chocolate whey protein balls and organic tea. Delicious.
