Amid the chaotic 1992 LA uprising that followed the Rodney King verdict, Tyrese Gibson’s character, Mercer, is desperately attempting to repair his life and his relationship with his son, Christopher A’mmanuel.(1992). In the opposite direction, a different father and son, played by Ray Liotta and Scott Eastwood, risk everything in their perilous scheme to steal platinum-rich catalytic converters from Mercer’s workplace.
